Silver Comet Side Trail

Currently, Paulding SORBA is involved in maintaining the Super Silver Comet Sidetrail which runs parallel to the Silver Comet trail. Once completed, this intermediate, but challenging, single-track trail will extend just under 10 miles from the the Hiram Silver Comet Trailhead (the ChainStation Bike shop) to the Pumpkin Vine Creek train trestle. The trail is ready to ride now, however some sections that are still under construction will force a rider to ride on the paved Silver Comet trail and re-enter the dirt. From the Hiram Silver Comet trailhead, head west and look for the trail on the left in about 100 yards. TRAIL IS MARKED WITH A BLUE SQUARE AND A WHITE ARROW on trees going east and west.

Sara Babb Park

This will be a perfect trail for beginners and kids. We are still working with the City of Dallas to finalize the trail design. Sara Babb park also has tennis courts, softball fields, horseshoe courts, and a pool. We held our first large-scale work party here with fantastic community involvement.
