SILVER COMET SIDE TRACK

531 Seaboard Avenue Hiram, GA  30141

Paulding SORBA created a partnership with the Paulding County Parks and Rec. Dept. and The Paulding County Sherriff’s Office to initiate the maintenance and re-alignment of several dangerous sections. It includes 8 miles of intermittent single track that enters and exits the very popular Silver Comet Trail (a rail trail that extends the entire width of Paulding County) so that riders can take a break or ride the entire bi-directional trail out and back. It will soon be extended another 6-7 miles to the boundary of Paulding Forest Wildlife Management Area. 1400 volunteer hours went into resurrecting this trail in 2007.

SARA BABB MOUNTAIN BIKE PARK

216 Recreation Drive Dallas, Ga 30132

We installed our first GATEWAY TRAIL project Sara Babb Park located in the city limits of Dallas houses 1.5 miles of trail and will soon give way to another 4 miles as soon as land acquisition has been settled. Over 1000 volunteer hours went into installing the Gateway trail at Sara Babb Park.

MT TABOR MOUNTAIN BIKE PARK

1550 East Paulding Drive Dallas, GA  30157

WE are working on another GATEWAY TRAIL project located also in Dallas on a county park / Mt. Tabor Park and currently houses 4.5 miles of trail in a stacked loop formation. This trail system will have 8-10 miles when it is completed. The park is very close to Roberts Elementary and talks have begun to start a pilot after school mountain bike program. We have completed 2 loops in under a year and accrued almost 3500 volunteer hrs in 2009.

AUSTELL THREADMILL MOUNTAIN BIKE PARK

We have just started a new park in Austell Ga. which will house close to 15 miles of trail. This park is located adjacent to Austell Government complex, Garret Middle School, and Clarkdale Park.

Mixed Loop

When the trails are closed...we ride fire roads!

Description: For all you Psycho-crosser and pavement optional road riders or split personality mtb types. This is a mixed surface route including asphalt, pave (shake-n-bake) and graded dirt/gravel roads. It covers some interesting areas and actually crosses over the top of the Brushy Mtn train tunnel on the SCT.
