GREEN - To the best of our knowledge the trail condition is dry and rideable and is to be considered open.

YELLOW - Trail condition is questionable. Light rain has fallen in the past 36 hrs. Use caution and your best judgement. Ride through the mud, not around it!

RED - To the best of our knowledge the trail has received sufficient rainfall to cause serious trail damage. Trail should be considered closed.

I know it's frustrating when the trail status is red, and it seems like everytime you turn around this year they've been yellow (questionable conditions) or red, and here's why...

Atlanta has now had its rainiest first four months of the year since meteorologists first began keeping accurate records — 54 rainy days.
